Cris Ascunce is a Miami native and proud Cuban American who blends whimsy with purpose as a novelist, copywriter, graphic designer, and web designer. Cris’s debut novel, My Best Plan, shines a light on LGBTQ history, a cause close to her heart as an advocate for equity.

As an advertising executive, she once crafted catchy taglines to attract travelers to Miami’s shores; now, she writes stories about the city’s vibrant culture in her prose.

When not designing or wordsmithing, Cris can be found planning her next trip, diving into a great book, or spending time with her family—including her wife of twenty years. Always ready for new creative adventures, Cris brings warmth, humor, and passion to every project.
